Often when you travel, you come across a gem of a place or a person that deserves to be told. But you don’t have a week or even a day to capture it. You are on the road. You have an hour to get shots that convey something of the story, and then it’s back behind the wheel. Or back to the cruise ship. Or back to his family.
In this course, the instructor takes up the challenge and shoots a photo essay in just an hour. Shooting under time pressure is a common challenge for a photojournalist, and he describes the kinds of planning and shooting that get results. Learn what kind of shots you’ll need for any type of photo essay, and learn how to engage and interact with subjects you’ve just met and may never see again.
